Awful plot, weird and disgusting story, great acting and beautiful clothes. The kind of movie that I wouldn't watch ever again. Waste of my time. The cast is truly great, but this movie is all over the place. I gave the 2 stars because of the actors and the costumes. Those dresses that Tilly made were spectacular. Trust the low rating reviews. P.S. I am glad that I didn't go to the movie theater when this movie came out or I am sure I would had walked away after a few minutes of it.

Awful, awful movie. A waste of time, disgusting acting, stupid story, cheap sense of humor, unnecessary vulgarity, not funny at all. Cringe and predatory, I felt uncomfortable. I love JL, wasn't expecting this type of movie from her. I wonder why would she take a project like that? Noup, definitely not for me.

Sorry, please do not waste your time with this movie. I am a fan of Henry Cavill, they just put him in the poster to trick us. Bad writing, ridiculous and too long. Even the special effects look so fake. Save yourself some time, watch something else.

I may be in the minority and I feel bad for my review because I really wanted to love this version. We watch the movie as a family, my two children and I. We are big fans of the first one and are highly disappointed. The second movie sadly is not as warm, clever or funny as the original. I love Emily Blunt, she is a beautiful actress. I guess she did her own interpretation of the role...still, Julie Andrews’ shoes are very big to fill. Emily’s singing is not half as good as I expected. None of the songs had the charm of the original. The songs were not even catchy or made my heart feel like the original. I repeat, I really wanted to like it, but no. Lin Manuel Miranda’s performance is also another thing, I could not separate him from his Hamilton’s performance. It made no sense in other parts, like Mary Poppins loosing the kids in one of her adventures. I wish at least they also kept some things exactly as the original, objects like the umbrella. If you are going to change a movie that much, then make a different one totally, don’t related to the one that already exists and it’s a masterpiece. The animation, the special effects, even the house and street... oh Disney! Your golden days in this type of movies are gone.

I truly wanted to like this animation since a legend like Glen Keane was the director, but this movie should be called “All over the place”. Why is the necessity to kill a parent!? That’s sooooo Disney and other studios are doing the same. I wish the story was better because the animation is really cute. You will find a ton of relatable movies inside this one like Angry Birds, Beauty and the Beast, Tangled, Mulan, Frozen, The Emoji Movie, Trolls, to name a few. The story was not interesting to me, very predictable. On the other hand the plot I liked was about the goddess and her lover. I loved the bits of 2D drawings that appeared, and I wish more animation went back to the traditional art that Disney developed during their golden age. Maybe I am a bit tired of the coldness of CGI. At one point the goddess sings a pop song, kinda rapping at other. Oh boy, this is a movie I won’t buy or watch ever again.
