Veilguards combat is engaging and fun, the collectibles and story are enjoyable. The characters are odd looking, but become charming, and the lore is deep and expansive. It feels like it reveals histories hidden from the user in previous games.
There are some missing features, the inability to view mementos after pick up, obscured and hidden details, and not being able to review tutorial information can be frustrating. The game starts in media res - it can be a bit jarring and confusing.
Over all, the game is enjoyable. I'd value it at roughly 50 USD, has the triple A shine to it. Anything below that price point is a great deal!
