Don't listen to the negative reviews, this is one of the best RPGs to come out in a decade. The majority of complaints boil down to two things, people played it on easy when they should've played it on hard, and IF YOU DON'T LIKE THE NARRATOR YOU CAN TURN HIM OFF ENTIRELY. I'm at 72% completion 41 hours into the game, so there is an amazing amount of content. Many open world RPGs have worlds that feel empty with a lot to be desired, but not Biomutant. I struggled to complete any quest I was doing, simply because walking there I would stumble upon so many new quests or boss fights. The variety of characters you get to meet is awesome, and they all react differently based on whether or not you are light or dark. The aura system for deciding the world's fate is the best done example of this in any video game, as your choices are constant and physically affect the world around you. The game has a narrator, which I found to be endearing and engaging, providing another perspective for your choices. Anybody that says the main story isn't compelling either hasn't beaten even half the game, or they are heartless and their opinion doesn't matter anyways. The boss fights are only easy on easy or maybe medium mode, but in hard you have to learn their mechanics if you want any chance to beat them. And did I mention minibosses are EVERYWHERE? There is an incredible amount of combat in the game that keeps you on your toes at all times. If you actually made it this far into my review, buy this game. The replay value is insanely high, the combo system is fun and comic like, and the humor feels like Borderlands and Fallout combined. In a world of cut and paste RPGs, Biomutant stands out on its own, in an amazing way. (Note I played on PS5)
