One of the best of the Britpop bands of the 80s, Scotland's Love & Money fashioned their own niche, injecting a massive dose of glossy white soul ala the Philly soul of the previous decade into the muscle of singer/guitarist James Grant's in-your-face power chord confections, creating an appealing and instantly recognizable sound that placed them a band apart from any of their contemporaries in what was an extremely crowded and competititive musical landscape.
