Memories of Murder (2003) Korean Memories of Murder is a South Korean Investigative thriller directed by Bong-Joon-Ho and is inspired by the Real incidents that took place at South Korea in around 1986-91. I had Great Expectations on this Film as it was directed by Oscar winning Director Bong Joon Ho and it is considered as one of the best korean films ever made. The story is about the investigation of the serial murders that took place in Hwaseong, a town in South Korea. Bong Joon Ho narrates the story differently by showing the problems faced by the detectives in the town during Investigation instead of mainly focusing on the Murders. There are no unnecessary scenes in the film, each scene in the film drives the plot forward. This film gives great amount of Thrill without many plot twists. Investigation scenes are great which keeps you hooked throughout the film. Camerawork impressed me even in this film as I loved it in Parasite. Whole film has a raw touch which makes us believe it is inspired by true incidents. All actors did a good job especially a character(kwang-ho) who is suspected as the Murderer impressed me a lot. It is a kind of a film which makes you tempt to rewatch it. It gives a satisfaction of a Complete film. Cult Classic 10/10

City of God (2002) Portuguese This film is a Crime drama directed by Fernando Meirelles. It tells the story about Children who are surrounded in a very toxic environment at the slum (City of God) of Rio de Janeiro. This film talks about money, drugs, girls and many other. One child of that slum is a passionate photographer who could be considered as the protagonist of the film. Whereas another child becomes a drug dealer. Storytelling is very good as it is adapted from a novel called City of God. This film has one of the best cameraworks ever Longtakes are awesome and performances are also great Must Watch !! 9/10

Hereditary (2018) American Hereditary is a Horror film directed by Ari Aster which stars Toni Collette and Alex Wolfe. It's streaming on both Netflix and Amazon Prime. Ari Aster makes a very promising debut with this film. This is a horror film which doesn't use jumpscares more and the events that take place are itself scary which makes the film great. Nowadays with people who use the same horror structure that Conjuring created, here's a director who is giving audience something different in the same genre. Toni Collette gives one of the best performances of the decade and also the other cast is fantabulous. Camera framings are just perfect. There are just countable horror scenes in the film at the third act and rest is just the story which scares you. Overall, a very different take on a genre which was almost dead in Hollywood and definitely a Masterpiece 10/10 Thank you.. 🙂

Train to Busan Just finished watching this movie. Got great feeling after watching it. After a long time watched a movie like this Must watch Masterpiece A highly violent movie It even hits you hard with emotions 😭 Good performances made this movie even better. It even teaches some life lessons It is a Masterpiece given by South Korea to world cinema If you can Sustain Violence Then this Movie is for you A Great Experience Incredible One Must Watch Try to Watch it in Korean Rating- 9.5/10 Signing off Abhishek.M
