I didn't watch this sequel for the longest time, anticipating it to be a mere cash-in tool on the back of the success of the first one. However it was anything but. Directly linked to the first yet so fresh and plot wise it's even better. Acting, editing and cinematography make up for a great horror ride. 7.5 out of 10 easily. Oh and the camera work for the opening sequence is beautiful, you almost feel। you're right there. Glad to see such level of creativity in horror movies.

It is well-paced and well-directed. Which you can see in the interest that you develop past 10 mins about how this teenager is going to handle things. Funny, Wity, fresh are the qualities you always wish to experience whenever you sit down for a feature length. Just one thing that struck a bad chord for me was the mother's unfair behavior towards ladybird. Sometimes felt too un-motherly.

If you want to witness new cinema without being for the sake of it, this one is a no-brainer. I always had this notion to myself that Cinema is supposed to make us wonder, and boy does this movie take you to the wonderland ( pun intended ) Exquisite, visually stunning, fresh and leaves you with a sense of awe. If a film gives you the feeling that it’s more than what you expected, it serves the purpose. Screenplay can be rated as " above average " without touching " great ". But the overall experience more than compensates for the same. GO WATCH IT.

The scene with the arms dealers is the most hilarious i have ever seen, even the shooting at the end of the scene is funny. I was surprised to see this scene in the middle of this action packed, yet emotional drama. The prologue was beautiful, as was the end. Great Cinema. Must Watch.

Del toro is amazing. Rest of the cast is also effective. Blunt is superb. Cinematography is beautiful. And story is gripping. A must watch for cinema lovers.
