I am trying to leave it long enough between viewings so that I can forget some! For me, this 1st film in the trilogy sets a benchmark in acting and directing that is almost out of this world. The extraordinary development of the relationship between the two main characters, culminating in one of the most stunning closing scenes is quite staggering. Lisbeth Salander desperately trying to find a place inside her to say what she feels to Mikael Blomkvist, and he, so kind and gentle in receiving what she can say. Quite breathtaking.
