Amber Nixon

Unfortunately this feels very “B” movie. I agree with most of the reviews in that Lance Reddick is the best part of this series. Most of the women actors don’t have that natural “badass” feeling that Mila or Michelle lent to the movies. In fact many of the actors in this series didn’t have the feeling. I believe a series can survive that as long as you have more A listers than B but that just isn’t the case here. I also found both the young and older Jade character unlikeable and extremely annoying. For a hero to continuously make so many mistakes that hurt others and is supposed to act as the heroine is hard to pull off unless you nailed the actress. Maybe it’s just the character, or maybe the actresses themselves added to the disappointment. She would have been better in a supporting role, not as action driven. Both Billies were mildly better, especially the younger. Plot provided some interest and had the potential to carry on and link the tv show to the movies but the transition was lacking. Zombie involvement was minimal and disappointing. This could have been great, what a disappointment!!!
