If you’re looking for a new fantasy world full of dragons that reignites that passion to read and explore a new world then stay far away from this junk . Lured in by the millions of people praising this book, I was excited take a break from intense fantasy, after being on the Stormlight Archives for awhile, and take a step down to enjoy something more casual and easier to read . While it is casual and easy, it is akin to a poorly written fan fiction or even worse AI written. The characters are dull and one dimensional. The way they speak is jarring and at times laughable . Some of the dialogue reads like a kid that just recently learned how to cuss and really wants their friends to acknowledge how cool they are . The worst part of it is the oddly placed and cringey sexual tension . In what world are you surrounded by killers and powers that want nothing more to end your life , yet the the thing that first comes to mind is how excited your are to get in bed with them. If one dimensional smut with over used troupes and cringey dialogue is your idea of a good time then power to you you’ll love this. If not then my advice is to spend your hard earned money elsewhere.
