To echo a sentiment of another reviewer - I was surprised at the bad reviews. This is 100% not what Dickens wrote but the major themes and characters remain, and the whole thing was made much more exciting and interesting and the acting is superb. Maybe they should have renamed it so the literary snobs wouldn’t drive down the rating 🤣 but I’ve binged all 5 episodes with bated breath so take that how you will!
