I have never in my life written a review for a game. This game made me fall back in love with gaming, and RPGS in general. It is unbelievably good. Like many reviews have said, the sound design is incredible. I cried before I even got into any combat. The dialogue and movement in cutscenes is so well observed and organic. It is so believable. The combat as well is so good. It’s dark souls mixed with persona 5/Metaphor. If you’re a fan of those games, this fuses them together but also provides you with forgiving options. And once you get the hang of it, it is so satisfying. Keep in mind that this game, like any other which asks for parry’s or dodges, doesn’t expect you to be able to do it first time. Don’t get annoyed if you take damage on an enemy which you don’t know the pattern for. Just try and take something away from it. If you fail, try again. That’s part of the fun. I swear to god, if you enjoy any sort of fiction where the characters aren’t cheesy and act like real human beings, give it a go. 45 quid. Unbelievable value for the quality.
