As somebody who has watched movies like borderlands, most Resident Evil’s, piranha 3D, and other massive box office stinkers I can confidently say it isn’t the worst movie like some other reviews are making it to be but it does fall flat in making the most of the potential this movie had. The beginning when the main character is a kid hunting with his dad was great and was very suspenseful but from there the rest of the movie fails to capture that same feeling as it leans way too much into being a psychological horror as it tries to make you ask what is going to happen, where is the werewolf? Is he going to strike? Instead of an actual scare happening. The plot is very predictable and while the transformation is cool in my opinion it takes up way too much time and the character’s decisions during the transformation phase is just baffling. The actors do the best they can but it just isn’t enough to make the film memorable or that entertaining. An ok film overall.
