At first I was put off by the singing narratives of the characters, but the good acting and unexpected plot twists kept me interested to the very end of the movie. I think Depp, Bonham Carter and Rickman were excellent as were the other lesser known actors and actresses. The gore was a bit tough to handle but I just closed my eyes at those parts until they passed. Overall worth the 2 hours I invested in watching it.
