This is how a story based on pure imagination can be realistic at the same time. The clever symbolism in this K-drama related to the love detecting technology "the love alarm" made it one of my all time favorite dramas. The love alarm idea attempts to decipher the complexity of love relationships and succeeds to a large extent, which can open hour-long discussions about the topic and this particular love story. The bittersweet reality of love relationships presented was pretty much intended and was well executed, in my opinion. The growth the characters go through is very believable. From the very first episode, the complicated friendship dynamic between the two male main characters promised the ending, and I'm glad they kept their promise. The exploration of human emotions and how they work is so deep, which makes it all relatable and very wholesome. Every detail in this story was well thought out. When the ratings on a story is either love or hate, I know it's a story I will enjoy, and if you love to watch something deeper than surface level and read between the lines of every scene, you will enjoy it too.

I just watched it for the first time and it felt strangely nostalgic and reminiscing of an actual highschool. The popular students, the nerds, the athletic, the friendless, the class clown, the bully and the bullied; how is it possible that it's the same pattern in almost every class of any school regardless of country or social class? One of the best highschool dramas.
