Be prepared to have grown men call you Daddy or , still you got to keep your cool and focus on the objectives. I like the immersive landscapes, the warfare is epic, and all weapon sets are accessible to everyone. Do your heart a favor by playing only if you have a powerful gaming computer with a fast internet connection. lOtherwise this game like many others becomes deeply frustrating. This is the main reason why I stopped playing. We play to have fun and not go to bed angry because of the endless gun downs. Some games this donesnt matter, with this one there are many times when a massive situation in this game comes down to the last man standing. You are already a disadvantage by being the last person to protect a HAB from three other guys. Lag will make it outright impossible no matter how well you execute your method. High speed internet is required for competing on a level playing field in these close up situations. Then graphics will hurt you at distance. My computer simply stops rending other players beyond 200 yards away. Other players could be seeing clearly 1000 yrds away. Yet I dont even know the difference. Thankfully though in this game there are roles you can play to adjust to a dated set up. You can be a medic, keeping others in the fight. You can be engineer, building out the required support structures. As a new player you can run the supply truck getting supplies from base to build new HABs (single greatest factor for winning matches)or for something a little different you could spend 40 hrs in the practice server learning to fly the helicopter as a novice pilot so you can deliver a squad to the frontlines. As a new user please rub out your inexperience with vehicles on the practice servers. Wastefully burning assets because of inexperience diminishes quality of gameplay for others and regularly costs the match. Look up the admin control panel hot keys while in the practice servers and you can change maps allowing you to practice with the different equipment. Apart from the minueta above. If you are looking for an immersive and at times epic experience in a milsim. Squad is wonderful. Plenty of good fun to be had along with many heart pounding moments.
