Poorly executed attempt towards female empowerment. They just couldn't justify this mad desire of the girl's family to get her divorced when the girl's own parents needed a divorce first,and also the girl's complete lack of consideration for her husband and in-laws who were actually pretty ok. The writer was not able to convince the audience of the so called "intolerable cruelty "
