I used to love this show but the first episode of season 3 has a crew member harassed and bullied untill they commit suicide. Then none of the bullies are held accountable. One character, one of the bullies, even says that "suicide is nobody's fault". And another character says that "people who commit suicide can't tell the future from the present" implying that people commit suicide because they can't accurately calculate the odds of their life improving without outside help. The character is a robot who is brought back to life and there are not actual consequence for anyone. But it's a horrible kind of victim blaming situation through the whole episode. This single episode undoes every good thing that this series has done with it's social messages by essentially not holding those who perpetuate workplace bullying responsible. One person gets in trouble in the whole episode and it's for refusing to follow orders that could save and being back the crew member who tried to kill themself. It's never even addressed that her actions are essentially now murder (or attempted murder) because the person she bullied into attempting suicide could be saved if she agreed soon enough to help save them. What the heck Orville? What are you doing?
