Besides the small amount of updates after years of the same game, the same game comes back outโฆ it is still a fun yet frustrating game with teammates and the reason was the scoreboard not indicating exactly who was doing well and what theyโre supposed to be doing. Now in Overwatch 2 they managed to make that worse by only showing damage delt, and eliminations. None of which provide any useful information.
A player can hide in the back and shoot a tank who is getting healed. But that player will assume he is the best because heโs done the most damage.
The eliminations are kill assists, so itโs not even last person to damage gets the elimination, itโs everyone who does any damage. Now when a player doing the right thing dies 8 times trying to kill that healer, theyโve done 1000 damage with 1 elimination.
Why, in an objective based game did they remove the objective time stat from the scoreboard to really show who is defending where it matters, or killing where it matters? If this was team death match, the game might be perfect. But itโs a team game with 30+ characters to choose from which should ENCOURAGE switching characters and knowing when youโre not performing well. Instead it hides everything and encourages Call of Duty stats where your tanks like Orissa and Roadhog are hiding and backing up and real tanks are Lucio, and Mei.
