I love movies, but I’m not a professional movie critic by any means. Let me start with the positives. I gave this movie two stars for the cinematography, special effects, and acting by majority of the actors. It was beautifully shot and the special effects are amazing. Now for the negative. I believe many of the five star reviews are from pretentious people who like to think they are five star movie critics. This movie is utterly confusing and hard to follow. The sound editing is horrible, LOUDER is not better. It’s hard to hear the dialogue during intense sequences and the score repeatedly drowns out the actors. This is the first movie where I wish I would of read the spoilers, just so that I have a better grasp of what I’m watching. Inception, The Dark Knight, Interstellar, Memento, are all masterpieces, and Christopher Nolan will go down in history as one of the best directors, but this movie is reaching to far to where it is annoying and borderline lecturing. It reminds me how poor I am and how limited my intellect reaches. I am willing to bet that half of the five star reviewers are full of it.
