Eaonic Spark

It's a very strong experience but a linear one. There are really high highs, and a million things I like, but like 50 random things I dislike. Because of how the human brain works I mostly remember the 50 random things over the million things. The way I reconcile myself is by all the little negative things being cancelled out by the things I really love. The only 3 things that annoy me enough to not be cancelled out are that the game feels too slow for 1. Kirby's ground speed feels awful and when he goes into the air it's like he has the metal ability from squeak squad. Most animations get you hit cause they take a bit to actually have a hitbox come out. 2 collision is wonky and teleports you slightly forward if you jump into a ceiling from a certain angle, and you slide off blocks unless you are closer to the solid block then the air block. Dozens of hits for no reason pretty much. And reason 3 I dislike sidescrollers/2D platformers. These things are the only things that bother me enough to not be cancelled out and I still rate this game quite highly. Anyone who hasn't played this game before, I recommend it. I might not have had anything in the game I was necessarily drawn too. However there were still a plethora of exciting moments. The games difficulty makes it somewhat boring at times but there are moments that try to challenge more experienced players. Copy abilities might be slow and cumbersome to use for the most part but the Hammer is a powerful weapon that does a lot of damage while not having much of a downside to it. Even the movement speed problem I have with the game is somewhat fixed by the Wing Ability which gives a massive mobility bonus. Some levels are boring or irritating but the final level 7-3 gives the ultimate payoff for annoyed players. Even at it's worst this game is rarely worse than average and for the most part is good or very good, with Great or Awesome moments sprinkled in. The writing and story are so much better than a lot of other games in general, not just kirby. Yet again anyone who has not played this game, you're missing out. 8/10 Great Game.
