I give this movie a 5, somewhat reluctantly because of the lack of diversity. Nonetheless, deep sigh…, the story in this film is timeless. How “civilized” societies view their relationship with government and the people, manage promotions and power, and systematically disenfranchise others just goes on and on and on.
This story is told beautifully through well-acted characters, aesthetically pleasing costumes and sets, graphic battle scenes (on and off the field), and what you get is a raw peek into a sadly uncivilized existence in a world that pretends to be advanced and orderly.
