I give this movie a 5, somewhat reluctantly because of the lack of diversity. Nonetheless, deep sigh…, the story in this film is timeless. How “civilized” societies view their relationship with government and the people, manage promotions and power, and systematically disenfranchise others just goes on and on and on. This story is told beautifully through well-acted characters, aesthetically pleasing costumes and sets, graphic battle scenes (on and off the field), and what you get is a raw peek into a sadly uncivilized existence in a world that pretends to be advanced and orderly.

Good premise but it becomes a little too hokey when the entire family slips into codependency family tropes. it likely would have been more believable with fresher, less familiar talent.

Too many “n” words and I can only imagine who is not in the writer’s room. I am not sure who is loving this show and giving it all these great reviews. It has promise, and I do not blame the actors, just the material is really not good at all. Too bad too, I would’ve really enjoyed a good tv series. Oh well.

I have no clue how a critic can claim that Freddie's complicated relationship with his ethnicity, sexuality, with Mary, or with AIDS was under-developed: hogwash!!! Go see the film if you loved Queen, if you like biopics, and if you just enjoy a good movie based on music you are somewhat familiar. You will leave the theater thinking, more educated, satiated, and curious to learn more-- my reasons for enjoying biopics.
