Fun movie. Entertaining, but it seriously degenerated about 3/4 of the way through. Too bad. It was almost Hitchcockian until it wasn’t. Inconsistencies and non-sequiturs eventually get too be too much. Still, the performances by Kidman, Baldwin and Bancroft are compelling. Plus, the atmospheric value alone made it worth the watch for me.

Wow. What a mess of a movie. I really wanted to like it, but couldn’t bring myself to care enough about either the story or the characters to make it to the end of the film. Lord knows, I tried.
