Yesterday I saw the movie URI; wow what a fantastic movie. The movie is very gripping; loved the movie as a whole - Directing, cinematography, acting - everything was good.
The above are things which I really liked about the movie.
There are few things which I didn't like as well.
‘Missions are undertaken by all officers only’ - this was totally made to impress the elite class of defence. Not a single mention of Jawans - this was very disappointing. Jawans are always neglected, and this movie was no different.
The problem here is that people who don't have any idea how things work in Army will go with a mindset that only Officers are the people on missions in Defence and Jawans are not a crucial part.
This colonial thinking has not changed; and I guess it won't either in next 72 years ahead.
Making movie and claiming it as "based on a true story" should give importance to all characters who have played their parts in reality.
Hoping to keep the Josh High for every character who played a crucial role in the real Surgical Strike.
