Horrific, realistic and heartbreaking. Whoever thinks anyone would win a nuclear war....... think again. There would be no winners, no survivors only animals with two legs a mere shadow of a past race.
No amount of prepping, stockpiling, anumition, dug out bunkers would help survival.
This film is shocking at its best terrifying at its worst. Brutally honest. This was shown in 1984 the year George Orwell set his book how ironic..
This showed a relatively small bomb dropping on a small city Sheffield in England. The bombs now are far bigger and more powerfull
This is a must for the whole of the world to watch including world leaders.
I doubt i will sleep tonight, I had to keep skipping parts of it as they were to upsetting to watch. I am though glad I did. It shows the true reality of a nuclear war and its aftermath of darkness, high uv rays and freezing temperatures. Starvation and back to a primeaval existance, famine, desease are just small facets of this. We have never since the cold war at the time this was made, been closer to nuclear annihilation.
We are not prepared. Nobody is.
