I could not put this book down! I am usually a reader of non-fiction, but this book was absolutely captivating. The way the book is written allows the reader to see the story unfold in their head, with all the details of a vividly filmed movie. It is both poetic, yet an easy read. I’m into World War 2 history, so I really enjoyed this book, but one does not have to be a war buff to be taken in by this story.
