Very thought-provoking movie. Throughout the movie, I wondered about human civilization, greed, and how the world works. Every commodity, whether oil, gold, tea, coffee, cocoa, or diamond, has similar tragic stories.
The best about this movie is, that it demonstrates, corporate greed in its finest form, but also tells us the story from every point of view, whether it is the fishermen's family in Africa who lost everything just because they happened to live in the country where diamond is found. Or the diamond smuggler, who lost his life chasing the wealth that precious stone could bring, Or the journalist, who saw the suffering of humankind in war-turned country like Afghanistan or Africa and can't live a normal life in a safe Western country.
