it has cuss words and it talks about racism so its def not a kid appropriate book, i read this book at the age of 10. i didn't understand but i do know, it talks about things other kids don't need to know at their age. and the reason i read this is because i wanted to learn about racism, overwall its a 2, now i did enjoy the beginning of it but the middle and the end is not appropriate
