Child’s Play 1 review So, the first movie (Child’s Play) is a horror movie from 1988 that starts with Charles Lee Ray running from Mike Norris, a detective, Charles was known as the Lakeshore Strangler, maybe, like Hillside Stranglers, that killed at least 11 woman in the 60’s. So, his friend, Eddie Caputo, was waiting for Charles in the car, but he was scared for all the police cars behind him so he left (by the way, Charles was wanted since 70s) so Eddie shot him on the arm when he was running to Eddie when he left, so so, I’m not going to lie, this movie is more like a comedy, some people say that it turned into a comedy in 1998, Bride Of Chucky, but no, it was already funny since 1988, as I said before in my other review, and I understand that because he’s not actually a toy, he transferred his soul to it, he’s the same person in a different body. But so I think that the movies keep getting worse over the years, movie effects keep getting worse and worse, this movie was better, the plot was very good, a killer who transferred his body to a toy and started a massacre, it’s crazy, but Chucky only wanted Andy’s body, the guy told him that he has to take the body of the first person he saw, but that’s the homeless guy or Karen, not Andy, however, I know Don Macini started this saga because there were some toys that every kid wanted and a lot of parents fought in stores to get the last toy, but after the movie came out, people got mad, the kids didn’t wanted those toys anymore, so they don’t exist anymore, it’s crazy how he said “this is a good story” out of that. So the acting was effective to the movie, it looked almost real, more for that time; some of them are reactions you wouldn’t make in real life, but it was actually good, I really respect this new chucky and I like him. The camera flashing was very good, the quality that I like in movies is exactly that one; it’s a good quality. If you’ve never seen this movie, it’s unsettling in some moments. But now, the effects. The effects were good somehow, like when they burned chucky or when they shot him, when Eddie’s house exploded, they were really good and realistic. Maybe I am exaggerating with 4/5 stars, but I really saw it and found the little things I didn’t before. Effects: 5/5 Plot: 5/5 Acting: 3/5 Camera: 5/5

Hi, I’m going to seriously talk about this movie, I’ve been thinking about it for a long time, and so, I think this movie is like the first one, a comedy, it’s more like a comedy not a horror movie, for Charles’ personality, he’s funny, he makes a lot of jokes, so I really don’t understand why people says that the movie started to turn into a comedy in 1998, however, it’s not just for that, still, it’s a thing that I understand, knowing that Charles is actually a human of course. But now, the acting was meh, and I think that the attempt falls flat due to overexertion; they were overdoing it, it feels forced. For example Andy’s new dad; his stepdad didn’t believe the doll think and that he’s actually Charles Lee Ray, the Lakeshore Strangler but the acting in the moments that he was angry were bad, 90s and 80s movies were actually really good but I think that it was like in 60s, they thought it was good acting, but in this case, even thought the acting was a little better, it wasn’t the best acting. Same with the other actors and Sullivan, I still think it was a good movie, forced but good. The special effects hold up surprisingly well; the doll's movements are creepy and they did a great job, and for that time it was great too, so yeah, the effects were good, the blood, sometimes it wasn’t, last time I watched this movie I wasn’t really paying attention to the important little things, now that I'm seeing it again after years; I realized that the effects were sometimes unrealistic, but mostly good. When Grace Poole died, the scene was effective; however, Miss Kettlewell's reaction was a bit weird. Overall, most of the effects were good. I’ll give it a I’ll give it a 3/5 because of the acting and other things, if you think about it, the movie is not that good, so it’s actually a 3/5 the acting is actualy a 2/5, it wasn’t effective actually, overall, the lines were somehow effective to it, that’s why I gave it another point (2), the effects were a 5/5, the music enhance of the movie felt out of place, it was a clown movie, maybe it’s because of the toys but I don’t really know 2/5, and the camera flashing was very effective actually, it’s the quality I like in movies so it’s a 5/5, so in conclusion is a 2/5.
