My review is based on the movie not the story . We wanted to like the movie . The story is sad due to true events . After and hour and 20min in we walked out due to the slow pace of the movie and not the normal pace with the actors we love . We will give it another try and stream it at home maybe down the road .

It’s somewhat entertaining when nothing else is on . The original is a lot better . I wish Hollywood would take its time when remaking movies instead of pushing things through for a profit . Most of the Actors in this film are new and you can all most watch their acting skills improve throughout the movie which is kinda weird .(Spoiler alert )They killed Jed off in a non heroic way . I rank it up right there with stepping off a curb and getting taking out by a car . The character Matt is annoying and not even close to how Charlie Sheen played Matt. The best line in the movie is from Jed when he takes out the North Korean military leader “ You F**ked with the wrong family.” My suggestion to those that have not seen the OG Red Dawn or the 2012 version is to watch both and decide for yourself .
