In order to have a great movie you need a great plot, great acting, great screen writers, great scenery, great casting and it doesn’t hurt to have great background music. This movie has them all! Led by Anya Taylor-Joy with an Oscar performance and backed up with several supporting actors who probably gave the performance of their life. She ran the full gamut of emotions. From a shy teenager to a alcoholic junkie to a sexy siren to a tough no holds barred competitor. This movie was about chess but it was so much more than that. It is a symphony of characters. I was glued to the TV and after the first episode I was hooked and binge watched the rest. Cheers to the producers and director. You created a masterpiece.
