Truly immersive and believable sci-fi, with plenty of great storylines and characters that grow on you. Massive plot reveals, very well integrated with the over-arching theme. ‘Villains’ are believable and understandable, and while they are supported in power by human weakness, they are held in check by human strength. Political intrigue, intense combat, gunship battles with excellent special effects, and desperate survival in all kinds of environments. I’ll be surprised if I see another sci-fi series this good within the next twenty years.
