This is more of a Shockumentary than a documentary. The narrator does bring up few issues or areas that I never thought of while thinking about ‘sustainable’ food. But more often than not, the narration descends into all is doom and gloom and paints while systems in broad strokes
In most of the interviews, it looks as if the interviewer’s intention is to deliberately ask them ‘gotcha’ questions and edit and twist to fit his narrative. I think they might have even removed interviews where they actually got answers.
There is no reason to vilify institutions or voulantary organizations, that are concentrating on a specific problem, to put his point across.
Instead give them the necessary research that you have done and suggest solutions and have a constructive discussion, follow up with them after some time to see if there is any progress made. Remember, the interviewer is the one who is prepared and has an intention. You need to give your subject/interviewee enough heads up as to what the interview will be about so as to have a proper useful discussion. I have seen none of it here.
If there is no movement from the organization, then you can start asking the hard questions.
