Reading through some of the negative comments it’s fairly obvious not everyone will understand this masterful wistful film. One commenter even claimed to have visited Inisherin which is hilarious as it doesn’t exist and the name means Ireland Island, a clue in itself! It’s a beautiful artful study of the nature of pointless conflict, especially male conflict and the Irish troubles. The endless rivalries leading to so much pain and suffering and the reason for which being pig headedness, what started them initially being lost in time. I guess some people were expecting another In Bruges which is a much simpler easy to watch format. I loved it, would recommend anytime. It’s a wonderful film.
