Love it, I'm a huge fan of the franchise (not so much discovery because of it's incongruity with the canon, wishy washy science, and becoming a vessel for SJW/liberal Ideology). But this cartoon series really does a good job at poking fun at the franchise, there are a lot of star trek references to characters, alien races etc so someone who hasn't watched the show may miss out on some of the jokes, but generally I don't think you have to be a star trek fan to enjoy it, it's kinda like disenchantment or rick and Morty wrapped in a star trek package. I obviously don't consider it to be canon even though it's presented in such a way that It could be perceived as such if you were to ignore the humour and absurdity of it all.
