the author writes beautifully—i enjoyed reading the way she wrote, as a writer myself. however, i feel as though the book achieved nothing within the 400+ pages. barely any plot progression, or any progress on the case stevie was supposed to be solving. where the hell did the kiss with david come from? and what about the note that stevie saw that she just… didn’t mention at all to anyone but janelle? and the last part?? come on man. so many things could’ve been written better and better paced. i feel extremely unfulfilled after finishing this book. would definitely love to read this story written better by the author, though.
