Thank you for this beautiful family documentary. It may not surprise you to know that many families have similar conversations regardless of how many generations we have lived here as immigrants.
My family came to North America in 1632, and we still have agreements, disagreements; generation after generation, as how to memorialize, remember, our family history within the context of world history. Our connection, and disconnection, with the land.
The important thing is to try. To not disappear. To have these conversations, and leave behind some portion of our family stories for the future.
