A boring exercise in futility. If you like lengthy pointless dialogue, little action, and no resolution this is the opportunity to waste multiple hours of your life.

I thoroughly enjoyed this unusual film. The acting was superb and the storylines were compelling if uneven and disturbing. The subtitle could be “the old west meets psycho.” My favorite vignettes were the hilarious “Ballad of Buster Scruggs” and “The Gal Who Got Rattled” which almost brought me to tears. I found “Meal Ticket” deeply disturbing. “Near Algodones” and “The Mortal Remains” were entertaining but difficult to reconcile. All things considered it was a grand two plus hours of entertainment. The late 19th century Dialogue was superbly stimulating. Bravo Coen brothers!
