As an avid solo traveler, I expected something different. If you want to see two motorcyclists ride the length of the Americas with millions of dollars of support behind them, maybe you've come to right place. On the other hand, if you had hoped to accomplish a similar journey, there are infinitely better series on youtube. These guys once they hit Guatemala and Mexico overplay the security situation to the point of absurdity. I share my residence between Guatemala and Mexico and do not think twice about driving between the two, even solo, and I'm 60 years old.

I watched the movie while also walking the camino. I can highly recommend the walk, the movie not so much. I asked some Spaniards for their opinion and they agreed. Unfortunately much of the acting is cheesey and the plot much too predictable. We really learn so little of the father/son relationship which is crucial to the story line.
