While the story does way too much in a short amount of time and the editing feels extremely rushed, I enjoyed it just a Mortal Kombat fan. The casting is great, but I think this movie should have just been about Cole & Scorpion's ongoing feud with Sub-Zero and the Lin Kuei and slowly draw in the rest of the cast in following movies. The movie perhaps would have benefited from being four or five episodic show.
