I thought the first episode was entertaining enough, even funny in a dark and sardonic way. I was eager to see Van Helsing confront Dracula and was very interested in her character...until Van Helsing confronted Dracula and I realized this series was going to be a sad emo mockery. Who knew that all it took to defeat Dracula was to hit him in the feels? Too much plot armor for Van Helsing's Mary Sue character and a lackluster MacGuffin that was the key to ending an obsessive-compulsive sociopath with generations of experience of apparently only feeding on imbeciles.
