Having read the Bridgerton series several times I am disappointed in season 2 as I feel that the reason that Anthony wasn’t marrying for love was completely lost. This made him seem superior and superficial.
The scene with Gregory in the last episode would have been even more poignant if people knew that Anthony never thought he would live longer than his father.
Also felt that Eloise’s story almost derailed things. In the book she is portrayed as different but likeable not so much in the TV series. And the departure from the books regarding Whistledown and Eloise figuring out her identity was disheartening.
I love the costumes, the sets and all of the character performances it is all amazing. I just wish that the screenplay was closer to the original story.
