Phenomenally done. A nod to revenge slashers with a strong emphasis on Jason Vorhees. I haven’t left a theater that satisfied since Hereditary. There was no music/score which made it very suspenseful. You got a “tag along” perspective of the killer which was very haunting. Absolutely awesome kills and practical effects. So glad Shudder took that old tired story and made it something that wasn’t campy/corny. At least for me, it felt how you always wanted to feel when watching those old 80’s slashers.
