The mechanics and game play are fantastic, and the puzzles are more intuitive and satisfying than ever before. However, to be a good game, I should want to play the game and care about the character I am playing as. But whenever I was playing as Abby I did not enjoy playing. I purposefully died when playing her, and did not have any emotional involvement in her story or character. Anyone complaining about the LGBTQ+ representation is wrong, as it it is (in the game) neither over the top or preachy, although the dialogue between Ellie and Dina is pretty bad, and their relationship could have been built up organically like Joel's and Ellie's from the first game instead of just dropping the player in when they already have had their first kiss and we know nothing else about Dina.
