A truly great original Australian album of the modern era, showing Glenn Richards’ songwriting genius, with the cream of young backing musicians to flesh out his diverse and haunting sounds. My favourite, ‘Painter by Numbers”, shows the world just how good original Australian rock composers can be, with a catchy tune over brilliant lyrics. I even prefer this solo album over his legendary efforts with the fabulous Augie March catalogue, that’s how good it is !

Greene eloquently describes some deep insights into human behaviours with a dry sense of humour that gave me a great deal of reading pleasure, which puts him in the top class of English novelists of the 20th century, in my opinion. ‘The Comedians’ is a most satisfying read, and is surely one of his best books. Highly recommended !
