I really enjoyed season 1 of the show, and season 2 was entertaining, although the character Alexa seems to be growing harder, meaner, treating her"roomate" poorly. To be honest, I never watch Xena the Warrior and I'm unfamiliar with any talents that Lucy Lawless might have.
The best part of season 2 was the actress Ebony Vagulans, with her colourful clothing that fits her vibrant personality.
Imagine my disappointment when in series 3, Ebony's character, Madison, has gone to France for some reason yet to be disclosed. She is replaced by a new character named Beth, play annoyingly by Tatum Warren-Ngata, who is "on leave" from the Navy.
Even more surprising, Lawless's character Alexa is now sporting colorful, solid clothing and seems to have ditched her rather famous trench coat. Whoever told the character Alexa to wear her shirts tucked in on one side and loose all the way around needs to rethink that style.
On the positive side, the plots are simple, as is the dialogue. There's no blood and gore, which is refreshing. The views of New Zealand are a trubute to its beauty.
