My least favorite Hannah book. While the impact of war on service people and families is realistically portrayed as the devastating event it surely is, the characters did not resonate with me. Jolene and her friend, her husband and her children were unlikeable for this reader. The story was predictable and almost unrealistic. Of course all worked out in the end.
