Phenomenal! I can’t quite put into words how I feel about this book. It is enlightening and a necessary contribution to non-fiction African literature! Conversations around sex are historically taboo in various African cultures, especially when initiated by young, unmarried women. This book is a collection of stories of women on their journey to sexual discovery, freedom and healing. Their stories are empowering and compelling; and are encouraging to their African sisters that sexual liberation is achievable when one remains true to themselves. Each chapter explores a different woman and their unique needs, yet still offers a homogeneous conclusion of how it is not selfish to put one’s own needs above anyone else. You can feel the honesty and emotion in each chapter. The book is brilliantly compiled, and I would recommend it to all women! EMPOWERING!
