Honestly, as a stand alone series, this is fine. But knowing the book, and loving the book dearly, this is a DEEPLY DISAPPOINTING adaptation. James Franco is no George Amberson (clearly bc they changed his name in the series), the dates and details are all twisted, and the magic is gone from the original dream that was the book. Wouldn't recommend if you're looking for a good film adaptation, but as a stand alone series, it's watchable. So sad they never capture Stephen King's books well in films....
