This movie is basically what happens when you hire a completely new director for no apparent reason to continue another directors work (of which there is nothing wrong with and was doing no wrong). If it ain't broken don't try to fix it. If you are looking for a non stop action movie that makes no sense at all this, as well as the transformers movies, are for you. If you want an actual SEQUEL to the awesome heart felt action movie that is Pacific rim I'm afraid this isn't for you.
