Giving this a 3 star because I’m not yet done with the series. The first 30-40 episodes were good. Like some reviewers I’ve read, I can agree that when they switched up the characters they did a very botchy job at it. The first jenni did a good job, however I don’t think she really looked like her. The first jenni was very innocent and nieve. I think the second jenni portrayed her a little better. In real life I remember her in her show, and she was more like that. She was rebelde, loud and she did like the drinking life. That’s just how she was and if people didn’t like that part of her in the series then they just didn’t know her. I’m seeing that people aren’t liking parts of the series but this was based off of a book that she wrote. Abuse was a terrible thing then and now, but back then people had different mentality’s and ways of dealing with it. We shouldn’t judge how jenni handled it because at the end of the day we didn’t live through her struggles and attributes. I will say that watching her younger self continue to go back to trino was infuriating, but it’s what happened and it happened to many many women. Which is why I feel like women who were Jenny’s age felt so connected to her. And even though I haven’t gotten to the end of the series, I understand why it feels like it ends so abrupt. She hadn’t finished the book on her terms because when she died she was still making entry’s to it. I would love to see a review written by someone who watched her as a fan from a young age. After I’m done with the series I will read the book she wrote, which this was based on.
